Not every hostage wants to be saved!
An extremely depressed young woman, Shawn Holloway (Selma Blair) is literally on the brink of jumping from a high rise bank tower, when she is foiled by a robbery gone awry. Pursued by the police, bank bandit Charlie Anders (Max Beesley) flees to the rooftop and snatches Shawn from certain death in order to take her hostage. She is decidedly not grateful. Realising her refusal to go along with him, he proposes a strange deal, "Help me now and I'll kill you later."
Soon the unlikely couple is launched on a wild ride through the city streets, with the law in close pursuit and the future in serious doubt. They're looking for refuge, for a way out of town and especially for Charlie's partner in crime, Billy (Brendan Fehr), who's got the one million dollars from the bank heist. What they find are some surprising revelations about each other and about the unpredictable nature of fate.

Theatrical report
A nice little crime romance that begins and ends with someone jumping off a bridge. Not unlike Chain of fools but with less humour. Max Beesley is cuter than Steve Zahn (the Cockney accent helps) but Selma Blair isn't as steamy as Salma Hayek. Kill me later has a bit more violence while Chain of fools has a bit more romance. Kill me later is a bit more independent, Chain of fools is a bit more Hollywood. Take your pick.
