As the Captain of Lawley College and the first fifteen rugby team, Matt Grant (Russel Page) embodies the school's motto, "The manly thing is being done". There's just one problem - Matt loves to dance. Against the advice of his best friend Tom, and risking his scholarship and the ridicule of his classmates, Matt auditions for a small ballet production of Romeo and Juliet. Matt's life turns to chaos as he juggles dance, school, rugby and his girlfriend Tamara. It is only after promising his dance partner Claire (Rebecca Yates) and the ballet's artistic director, David Knight (Paul Mercurio), that he will commit to the production, that Matt opens up to his need to dance and to his feeling for Claire. To his horror, he finds that the rugby grand final and Romeo and Juliet are scheduled for the same night. It's time for Matt to do the manly thing - but will he?
