When the courts won't protect you... protect yourself.
Gina Gallagher (Tracey Needham), a beautiful young Federal prosecutor in Chicago, becomes the target of a retaliatory assassination plot by Colombian narcotics traffickers. After the brutal murder of her junior trial partner and his wife, Gina turns to Chicago homicide detective Moe Ryan (Charles Durning) to try to stir up some leads. Moe becomes suspicious of Gina's Fed superiors when an attempt on her life is made while under the guard of Deputy US Marshals. Gina goes into hiding and a break comes when she receives a tip from an undercover FBI agent, Frank Spello (James Belushi). Gina is confronted with a painful choice between law and justice.
