Set in 1955, Jewish teenager Lenny (Ryan Merriman) from the Bronx is sent to live with his aunt and her new Italian husband in Brooklyn for the summer after his father dies. He decides his mission is to see a man and a woman "doin' it", but is let down when he discovers his aunt is seven months pregnant. Luckily for Lenny, however, his next-door neighbour is Hedy (Gretchen Mol), a beautiful former brassiere model...
