Based on the long-running Marvel comic book series, Iron Man tells the story of Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr), the enigmatic heir to the Stark Enterprises fortune. A driven inventor and executive who seems to have it all, Tony is haunted by his dark side. Though he commands his empire by day, by night he secretly becomes Iron Man, the living embodiment of decades of defence spending and innovation. Strapping on billions of dollars worth of state-of-the-art armour and weaponry each night to fight crime, terrorism and corporate espionage, Tony begins to crack under the strain of his fractured lifestyle and must ultimately confront the one enemy he can never beat - himself.

Secret Agent Acid Thunder
I was extremely disappointed this evening. What a terrible butchery of such an anti-heroic character. Tony Stark is supposed to be dark, brooding and an outright menace to the public. He's supposed to treat his assistant like a US Marine treats an Al-Qaeda member. He's not supposed to be nice, pleasant or even have a conscience with regards to anyone including himself, yet, Hollywood really messed it up and made him out to be Mr Perfect Hero. Not impressed, and I will NOT place any of the blame on Mr Downy Jr, as his performance was very true to himself. I would like to see more of him in the mainstream world, although I think that may result in bland and boring Robert.
Absolute rubbish; wait until the DVD release.
