Movie propaganda

He's up past his bedtime in the city that never sleeps.

The McAllister family go on a holiday to Florida. Kevin McAllister (Macaulay Culkin) gets separated from his family, and manages to get himself onto a plane to New York instead. There, he checks into the best hotel with his father's credit card, and sets out to enjoy himself.

Unfortunately, the burglars he had foiled before were in New York after being released from jail, and had plans to rob the biggest toyshop in New York on Christmas Eve. Kevin discovers their plan, and sets out to foil their plots again, while the burglars set out to finish off what they had not done before - the killing of the brat Kevin.

Theatrical report

I saw nothing. This DVD was stolen from my office but I won't name names because that won't get them back or bring the two scum-sucking culprits to justice.

Meanwhile, when he first saw Home alone 2 all those years ago, it was a less-funny version of a one-hit-wonder, created only because the first shake-and-bake flick managed to make lots of money (possibly because it was still original). It you've never seen the first one, this is a series of improbable gags about a child actor who can't cut it once he hits puberty and turns into the subject of his very own Where are they now? special. Oh, hang on, that's real life... the film is about a kid who outsmarts adults by using ingenious gimmicks and handy product placement.
