When a valuable drug is stolen from a bio-engineering firm, only the owner's deaf son, Sam, can identify the thieves. That knowledge puts him in grave danger, so the firm's security officer, Jenny (Mitzi Kapture), agrees to be his temporary bodyguard until her boss (Robert Guillaume) can find a replacement.Their initial animosity gives way to mutual respect and ultimately, deep affection, as Sam and Jenny realise they need each other to survive. Endangering their lives further is a mysterious informant tipping the criminals off about their every move, and Sam and Jenny become prime targets as the thieves close in to eliminate their only eyewitness.
