A romantic comedy in which things aren't always what they appear to be.
Amanda Pierce (Monica Potter) is living the high life in New York city. She's an art restorer at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and she's even lucked into a luxurious East-Side apartment with four gorgeous supermodels as roommates (Tomiko Fraser as Holly, Shalom Harlow as Jade, Ivana Milicevic as Roxana and Sarah O'Hare as Candi). The only thing missing in her life is a man who will be true to her. But then she meets Jim Winston (Freddie Prinze Junior), at last a guy who may not cheat on her. There's only one problem - Jim may be a lady-killer, literally.
He seems to be the fulfilment of Amanda's unanswered prayers... until one night when the girls spy him commit what appears to be a cold-blooded crime. Amanda's life begins to dizzily unspool as she and her four loopy roomies take to the streets of Manhattan as second-rate sleuths to solve the naughty business next door, staying one step ahead of trouble and in step with the latest style.

If you need any more encouragement to see this film, you won't want to. If you've decided to watch it on the basis of my recommendation, you'll love it. Freddie does a great line in single, sexy men. Monica Potter faces every woman's worst nightmare (living with four supermodels), without the solace of a Cleo or even a Cosmopolitan. The Great Dane is great. Grab some girlfriends, grab some chocolate (and diet coke) and have a great time.
