Movie propaganda
Harry's sixth year at Hogwarts is tempered by the fact there is a war going on all around him - a war in which he must eventually either win or die. Dumbledore takes it upon himself to show Harry a partial history of Tom Riddle and in doing so discloses the secret to the Dark Lord's immortality. Meanwhile, Harry has discovered a battered potions textbook, filled with the notes of a wizard calling himself the 'Half-blood Prince'. Against Hermione's warnings, he begins to rely on the book, and the spells on the pages within... The war goes on, though, and explodes onto the home front in the worst way imaginable. The beginning of the end has come.

Theatrical report
Harry Potter and the half-blood prince is like one of those interminable winter holidays in Melbourne where the clouds lour heavily over your head and the drizzle gets down the back of your neck and all you can do is desperately wish for some blue sky and sunshine and be thankful that you don't have SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder). It's no wonder that the English are so miserable. This episode has none of the joy that the earlier films do. Gone, too is the delight in magic and the sense of adventure. What we have is the absolute knowledge that bad things are about to happen to good people all over the world. It's like the day that Neville Chamberlain came home waving the letter from Herr Hitler, saying that appeasement had averted war in Europe. It's time to stock up on dried food and head for the hills.
The adventure, fantasy movie Harry Potter and the half-blood prince is directed by Anand Tucker and stars Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint.
