Theatrical report
What an awesome movie.
From an IMAX perspective, there were sections of Harry Potter and the deathly hallows: Part 1 where there was too much action on the screen so you were temporarily disconnected from the reality/moment. If you suffer from vertigo you're screwed, but don't worry as there might be a VHS version released in 20 years. My co-viewer [Wakes11] respected & enjoyed this film as the closest adaptation to the book and I, for one, wholeheartedly agree. The book (being the largest) had so much to offer that I constantly wondered what was going to be cut. Sadly, my hopes for seeing Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore's funeral were dashed against the rocks. I will not tell you how it ends, only that the spot they chose is beautiful. There is enough in the ending for you to hold out for the second part without needing to beg. There are two points within the story that are classed as "long" but the play-through helps to alleviate your senses. From start to finish this film is pretty frightening for young children but if you allowed them to see The Goblet of Fire or The Order of the Phoenix or The half-blood prince then this one is fine as well.
Ophidiophobes and ophiophilists need not see this film.
