The hangover - Justin Bartha, Heather Graham, Bradley Cooper, Todd Phillips
Threat advisory: Under evaluation
Movie propaganda
Two days before his wedding, Doug (Justin Bartha) and his three friends drive to Las Vegas for a blow-out bachelor party they'll never forget. But, in fact, when the three groomsmen wake up the next morning, they can't remember a thing. For some reason, they find a tiger in the bathroom and a 6-month-old baby in the closet of their suite at Caesar's Palace. The one thing they can't find is Doug. With no clue as to what transpired and little time to spare, the trio must retrace their hazy steps and all their bad decisions in order to figure out where things went wrong and hopefully get Doug back to LA in time to walk down the aisle.

Theatrical report
Comedies are my second favourite genre behind Epic Sagas and as such the threat advisory will never peak over 4, on principle. If a comedy gets a 4/5 then be sure to check it out in any medium including the cinema.
Some films are good but you don't lose any aspect of it if you wait until it's released on DVD or Blu-ray. The hangover is one such film; perhaps they will edit the length but I think there will be some brilliant extras in the special features that will more than make up for it. I really enjoyed this film and laughed a lot (so did the audience). In the opening scene I had to keep telling myself over & over that it was a comedy and that somewhere it'd start to get really funny. Maybe with the introduction of a comedic character because the first scene had no tell-tale markings of humour... The advertising campaign for the film really had me wondering what sort of film to expect due to the whole Chopper Reid look of it; the baby is very nicely explained and is a tiny addition to to plot. I'd rather not describe too much about this, because I feel very strongly when I suggest that you're really going to like this.
The comedy movie The hangover is directed by Todd Phillips and stars Justin Bartha, Heather Graham, Bradley Cooper.
