Everything was going just the way the planned until they met him.
Ronnie "The Rabbit" Banks (Andy Curtis), a slightly demented English gangster, decides that he wants a bigger piece of the underworld pie and devises a scheme involving the takeover of a family tavern in a sleepy seaside community in Ireland.
Problems occur when the rightful owners of the pub put up more of a fight than he bargained for. But Ronnie's worries don't end there, he double-crossed ferocious crime boss Stanley "The Gov" Briggs (Brendan Dempsey), who goes after Ronnie with all his money.

Gobshite tries very hard to be entertaining but doesn't go the distance; it is very much the poor cousin of Lock, stock and two smoking barrels. The accents are all over the place, the pacing is slow, the dialogue crawls. You could knock a good half-hour off the running time and end up with a better film. Leave this one for the "Five weeklies for five dollars" special.
