Julianne Moore stars as Telly Paretta, a grieving mother struggling to cope with the loss of her 8-year-old son, Sam (Christopher Kovaleski). She is stunned when her psychiatrist, Dr Munce (Gary Sinise), reveals that she has created eight years of memories about a son she never had. But when she meets Ash Correll (Dominic West), who has had a similar experience, Telly embarks on a search to prove her son's existence and her sanity.

Hey, wow, The forgotten is nothing like I expected. When I saw the trailer, I thought it was going to be one of those "Blah, blah, I'm a psycho" chick flicks. Then they showed the conspiracy and I thought it was going to be one of those "Blah, blah, I'm the victim of a conspiracy" chick flicks. Then I saw the movie and I discovered that it's one of those "M Night Shyamalan, I'm being anal-probed by psycho conspiracy aliens" chick flicks. Cool!
The special effects are used so sparingly that you forget that They Can Do Anything These Days™. The software manipulation of a human body is light-years beyond the crap in DareDevil. You'll believe that people are sucked up into the sky by angry aliens. It's cool.
