Theatrical report
The Forgotten Ones sounds very similar to other horror movies and also very similar to the TV series Lost, a group of people
stranded on an island that has something scary lurking in the jungle. Thankfully you actually see the monsters and the movie
ends rather than with the perpetual series Lost. Even if the plotline is a little predicatable, everyone dies one at a time except for one
person who eventually escapes. The creatures named the 'forgotten ones' inhabiting the island look realistic and scary enough
and the camera work helps build suspense as the forgotten ones jump around preying on the cast which slowly get picked off
and killed so that you don't have to watch their performances. This leaves Jewel Staite to be the sole cast for the majority of the
film in which she does an alright but not great job, she does better than the rest of the cast would have though.
Overall there isn't much to talk about when it comes to the Forgotten Ones, It was an alright horror movie with nothing new. Not
bad but also not a movie that you would be likely to watch twice.
