Brad (Tim Allen) and Caroline Sexton (Kirstie Alley) are a married couple living in the best neighbourhood in New York city who, ripped off by their personal accountant, suddenly find themselves owing three million dollars in back taxes to the IRS. Deciding to flee, the couple end up in the Amish country of Pennsylvania, where they pose as the long lost cousins of a local farming family. Forced to adopt the simpler life of the Amish people to hilarious result, the couple find that there are more important things in life than money.
