Female Secret Service agent Alex McGregor (Mariel Hemingway) goes against protocol to save the USA president from an assassination attempt. She is reassigned to protect the president's daughter, Jess Hayes (Monica Keena), which she considers a demotion. When the First Daughter is kidnapped during a hiking trip, Alex and river guide Grant Carlson (Doug Savant) go to rescue her.
