Festival in Cannes
Threat advisory: Under evaluation
Movie propaganda
Plunging deeply into the flamboyant madness of the world's première film event, Mr Jaglom uses that luxurious gathering as a backdrop against which to tell his story, taking you into the heart of the desperate, needy, funny, alternately glamorous and sleazy world of the international movie business.
Festival in Cannes introduces you to the obsessed lives of the actors, actresses, writers, directors, producers, executives, movie stars, agents, managers and wannabes - all of whom are drawn together for two weeks each may in this ultra-romantic setting. United by their overwhelming ambition and a commonly held willingness to do almost anything necessary to get what they want - a job, a deal, a part, or simply love - these film people act out their extraordinary ritual every spring in this most gloriously beautiful setting on the French Riviera.
