Eve's bayou

Threat advisory: Under evaluation

Movie propaganda

Over one unforgettable summer, one irresponsible young girl attempts to uncover some of her family's most scandalous secrets - and then tries to bind them against the tide of events that threaten to sweep through Eve's bayou.

Eve Batiste, an intensely curious 10-year-old, is the daughter of one of Louisiana's most sophisticated and prosperous families. Her mother is a stunning southern belle with an affinity for tradition and her father Louis (Samuel L Jackson), is the town's highly respected doctor known for his ability to fix things - everything, that is, except the family's problems.

Featuring new music by Erykah Badu and classic songs by Ray Charles, Eve's bayou is both intensely emotional and a hauntingly sensual experience that will mesmerise you from start to finish.

Also starring Lynn Whitfield.
