Theatrical report

Overkill.

Ballistic: Ecks vs Sever is a piece of pure cinematic popcorn. The story wouldn't stand up in a kangaroo court but the explosions are very pretty. There's a lot of hitting and shooting, too. A lot of hitting and shooting. And explosions. Did I mention the explosions? These are the biggest, prettiest, best explosions I've seen in a very long time. Turn your brain off and enjoy the ride.
