I had difficulty taking Easy A seriously because, in this age of webcams and sexting, virginity is not something you expect from a high-school senior. She had sex? Whoop-de-doo. That ain't nothing to gossip about. Heck, even when I was at school, a pregnant teenager was only slightly interesting. These kids act as if rooting hasn't been invented yet. I know that the American heartland (farm country) is repressed by its religious dictators but this is ridiculous. No drinking? No swearing? No drugs? No rooting? No petty vandalism? No driving too fast? It's too much to believe.

There are some funny bits, though.
