There's someone for everyone... apparently.
Lily (Loren Horsley) looks funny, walks funny, talks funny and dresses badly.
Jarrod (Jemaine Clement) looks funny, talks funny, dresses badly and has no idea he is a loser.
And then there's the rest of the family...
Together Lily and Jarrod discover that finding love means loving who you really are.
Eagle vs Shark is the tale of two socially awkward misfits and the strange ways they try to find love; through revenge on high-school bullies, burgers and video games.

Theatrical report
Watching low-end losers with no social skills trying to fall in love is like going to a freak show. I know that ugly people want sex, too, but these people are the ones you want to believe don't even know about relationships let alone have them. It's a bit like anti-porn.
Because it's so unpleasant to watch Eagle vs Shark makes you squirm. [Readers should be aware that, as a former international model, Special Agent Matti is one of the Beautiful People™ - Director of Intelligence.] It's an unlikely concept for a comedy but the Kiwis are renown for the dry blackness of their sense of humour. Jemaine Clement and Loren Horsley underplay their characters nicely; it's as if they're space aliens come to live among us - hearing everything we say but listening only to their Universal Translators. Eek.
The New Zealand comedy movie Eagle vs Shark is directed by Taika Waititi and stars Loren Horsley, Jemaine Clement.
