Dog soldiers is not the dog I thought it'd be. Sure, it's not in the same pack as Aliens but it's a lot better than most films about a bunch of people isolated from civilisation and forced to deal with a group of supernatural horrors on a dark and stormy night.

As you can see from the images below, they show too much of the monster (monsters are always scariest when you can't see them properly: the audience's imagination is a filmmaker's most powerful tool) but there are still plenty of scary moments. The "running through the underbrush" scene is a fear-mongering classic.

You'll need a sense of humour to enjoy Dog soldiers but you will enjoy it.
