Six soldiers. Full moon. No chance.
A squad of British soldiers is sent out on manoeuvres into the wilds of Scotland. They thought the worst they had to worry about was missing the biggest football match of the decade, but what should have been a routing military exercise turns into a nightmare.

Dog soldiers is not the dog I thought it'd be. Sure, it's not in the same pack as Aliens but it's a lot better than most films about a bunch of people isolated from civilisation and forced to deal with a group of supernatural horrors on a dark and stormy night.
As you can see from the images below, they show too much of the monster (monsters are always scariest when you can't see them properly: the audience's imagination is a filmmaker's most powerful tool) but there are still plenty of scary moments. The "running through the underbrush" scene is a fear-mongering classic.
You'll need a sense of humour to enjoy Dog soldiers but you will enjoy it.
