She could not talk... she could not scream... she could only run...

Walter Richmond (William Hurt) is the president of a large and influential chemical company who travels with his wife Cathryn (Jennifer Tilly) and 10-year-old daughter Melissa (Francesca Brown) to Amsterdam to close an important business deal.

The family check in to a luxurious hotel. Melissa, who is mute, gets lost and stumbles into a courtyard where, in one terrifying moment, she witnesses a gruesome murder. Afraid that she has been detected by the murderers, she heads into the centre of Amsterdam with the murderers hot on her trail.

To stay alive, to remain one step ahead, her stamina, ingenuity and a new friend, Simon (Denis Leary) are all she needs.

Also starring Michael Chiklis as Hartman, Corey Johnson as Nasty, Michael A Goorjian as Billy Boy Manson, Jason Merrells as Mulder, David Gwillim as Vandermolen, Francis Matthews as the manager, Aaron Swartz as Lieutenant Winter and Tim Faraday as Lieutenant Brand. I know that actors are sluts for (a) work, and (b) money, but William Hurt cannot be so desperate for either that he needed to make this flick. Maybe he was caught with 10 kg of smack by a guy in Dutch customs who had this script that he'd written... maybe he'd been videoed paying a visit to the Oudekirk red light district as a paying customer and didn't want his wife to find out... you might never know, and pray that you don't.

Not even bad enough for potential cult value, just bad.
