Movie propaganda

Technology breeds a new type of killer.

An innocent man strapped to a chair, a shotgun rigged to the ceiling and aimed at his head. A video camera captures the scene. A clock ticks down - 3, 2, 1 - BAM! A brutal murder and it's broadcast live on the Internet. One by one a series of ever more gruesome executions goes unchecked as a demented serial killer hijacks the internet for his sick game. The public is horrified and fixated at the same time as millions choose to view the carnage. But this killer has a message. He believes it's his duty, his mission, to protect the rest of us from the growing capitalist environment created by the bureaucrats of America. And in order to spread his "message", the killer forces people who wish to watch the executions to first endure a webcast of his political rantings: that is, to see the killings, one must hear what the killer has to say.

Ultimately it is up to NYPD cop, Charlie Daines (Armand Assante), to track down and eliminate the killer. But once Daines discovers that the killer has been secretly videotaping the police via hidden cameras at the crime scenes, they know that they are not dealing with your average psychopath. The police quickly enlist the help of a brilliant Internet security consultant named Adam (Raffaello Degruttola) to assist in the investigation. Daines is reluctant to work with Adam because he likes to do things his way the old school cop way. From one case to another the conflict grows between Daines and Adam.

Each execution is a race against the clock as the killer gives the police time to find the kill site and save the victim if they can. It's a deadly game of cat and mouse that is taken to a new level when the killer crosses the line and kills someone close to Daines. Throughout the investigation, Daines battles not only the ticking clock for the victims but a death sentence of his own. His cancer has become inoperable and he has only months to live. Torn between his desire to spend his remaining days with his family or bring down a violent killer, Daines realizes that he is the only one who can catch this psycho. As Daines closes in on the killer he realizes that it has become personal, and he is the final victim. Will Daines catch the killer before it's too late? Or will his old-school methods mean his death?
