The Defenders: Payback
Threat advisory: Under evaluation
Movie propaganda
The Defenders are a crack team, of lawyers dedicated to one principle - the accused is innocent until proven guilty. In this tense courtroom drama, a legal firm of three generations - Lawrence Peterson (EG Marshall), his nephew Don (Beau Bridges) and granddaughter MJ (Martha Plimpton) - come together to fight for justice and truth against the odds.
Persuaded to return to his teaching career to the courtroom, Don Preston is faced with the seemingly indefensible case of a man who has already confessed to committing a lethal act of revenge. But although the facts appear black and white, the team's investigations bring to light a horrifying secret from the defendant's past that will lead a jury to question the true nature of justice itself.
