Theatrical report
Skateboard flicks are too much of a niche market to make it big on the big screen and they are full of clichés because there's only so much that can be done with some kids on a plank with some wheels under it, certainly not an hour-and-a-half's worth. Deck dogz is no exception to this rule.
There are some cool stunts, but. Oh, a note to the parents who try to bond with their uncommunicative teenager by watching this movie: not all skateboarders ("sk8ers") are criminals involved in drug dealing, arson, assault and murder. Some are, like any other group of humans, but most have a healthy disrespect for The Law, probably because they're an oppressed minority. Don't worry, but, it's all good.
