On May 17th 1943 - 133 airmen including numerous ANZACs, boarded the 19 Lancaster bombers of Squadron 617 and flew across the English Channel to drop a revolutionary bouncing bomb on the dams of the Ruhr valley.
This is the story of the terrified young men who carried out one of the most daring bombing raids of the Second World War, and who went on to become heroes to the Allied cause.
