Jake Vig (Edward Burns) is a sharp and polished grifter who has swindled thousands of dollars from the unsuspecting Lionel Dolby (Leland Orser) with the help of his corrupt crew. However, Lionel wasn't just any mark, he was an accountant for eccentric crime boss Winston King (Dustin Hoffman).
