The sequel to the 1994 independent hit picks up 10 years later. It's about what happens when that lazy, 20-something malaise lasts into your 30s. It's time for the Dante (Brian O'Halloran) and Randal (Jeff Anderson) to actually grow up and do something more than just sit around and dissect pop culture and talk about sex.
A calamity at Dante and Randal's shops sends them looking for new horizons - but they ultimately settle at Mooby's, a fictional Disney/McDonald's-style fast-food empire.

Clerks 2 is a frequently funny guy film about having grown up without having moved on. You don't need to see the first film, the one which launched Kevin Smith into Hollywood, but it adds resonance. Other than that, there's some soft porn. Not the donkey, the way hot chicks go after loser nerds instead of successful studs. But hey, it's the American Dream™.
The comedy sequel movie Clerks 2 is directed by Kevin Smith and stars Kevin Smith, Jason Mewes, Rosario Dawson.
