Movie propaganda
Academy Award-winner Juliette Binoche stars as an antique dealer, living in the Tuscan countryside. One day she sits in on a talk by visiting English cultural commentator (William Shimell) on the value of copies in art. At the end of the talk they meet, and over the course of a single afternoon, they drive into the sun-dappled countryside, have lunch, wander around galleries, discussing the nature of love, art and life. But what really is the nature of their relationship? Have they met before? Are they a couple, or in fact perfect strangers?

Theatrical report
What is reality and which reality is the most real? If you see Certified copy (Copie conforme) then you'll be none the wiser because, although Abbas Kiarostami tries hard, all you get is confusion. It's not as slick as Inception even though they cover similar ground. It's not as schmaltzy as Under the Tuscan sun even though they are set in the same place. It's not as dramatic as I've loved you so long (Il y a longtemps que je t'aime) even they are both dramas. The reality is that this film would make a better play, produced by a small independent theatre group.
Whatever.
