Theatrical report
Whether you like Michael Moore and his work or not, this film stands up and says something about the way the West is run.
That is, corruptly. This is a consequence of Free Market Capitalism. The freer the market, the corrupter the capitalism. Capitalism has one goal: the acquisition of more capital. With an end like that it's no surprise that the means become meaner, dirtier and more dishonourable. Then, too, there's also ordinary human greed. And the thrill of cheating and getting away with it.
Capitalism: a love story is the kind of agit-prop that makes you feel awful so that you'll go out and change the world (think globally, act locally). It makes you feel like grabbing a gun, heading down to the CBD and voting with a bullet.
Bloody CEOs. Bloody politicians. Bloody corrupt bastards.
The documentary movie Capitalism: a love story is directed by Michael Moore and stars Michael Moore.
