He's got the power.
Bruce Nolan (Jim Carrey) is a "human interest" television reporter in Buffalo, New York USA, who is discontented with almost everything in life, despite his popularity and the love of his girlfriend Grace (Jennifer Aniston). At the end of the worst day in his life, Bruce angrily ridicules and rages against God - and God responds. He appears in human form (Morgan Freeman) and, endowing Bruce with all of His divine powers, challenges Bruce to take on the big job and see if he can do it any better.
Special Agent Matti
Bruce almighty is another one of those Jim Carrey flicks that's quite funny but not really funny. Liar liar is also quite funny, Me myself and Irene is not so funny, The Truman show is really funny. There are many Carreyisms. There are many "What would you do if you were a god?" questions and, in this case, answers. One notable absence is penis enlargement. Bruce does make his girlfriend's breasts bigger but ignores his own penis. Maybe that was left out to keep the Censorship rating down but it's unnatural for a bloke not to want a bigger penis (most men are unsatisfied with their penis; most penises are of average or shorter length).
There are some philosophical/spiritual questions posed and answered in Bruce almighty but all they boil down to is "Be nice to other people".
Good for a light-hearted laugh.
