Theatrical report
Bobby won't do great business in Australia because the subject is a minor politician from a distant country. It's like watching a film about the life of the first Green elected to the Western Australian Legislative Council. Why would you?
Bobby's redeeming feature is that the man himself is only wallpaper, an excuse for a disparate group of characters with little in common to appear in the same script. Emilio Estevez has made a movie that describes Mr Kennedy not by his presence but by the hole he leaves in the world when he has gone. It's good.
