Two years ago, talented jewel thief Miles Logan (Martin Lawrence) was forced to hide his stolen, precious diamond at a construction site when his $20 million heist went bad. Today, Logan is out of jail and willing to go to outrageous lengths to get that diamond back.

The problem? The site where he hid the diamond is now an LA police precinct. In Blue streak, a hilarious comedy packed with high voltage action directed by Les Mayfield, Miles impersonates a detective in the hopes of making a quick and easy getaway with the rock. But, teamed with rookie partner Carlson (Luke Wilson), Logan instead becomes the toast of the department - and falls upward to become head of detectives - when his criminal expertise ends up inadvertently solving cases and winning the admiration of his fellow cops.

Also starring Dave Chappelle, William Forsythe, Peter Greene and Nicole Ari Parker.

Mind you, Eddie Murphy is now the white man's Eddie Murphy. I remember when his films were rated R, now they're lucky to get an M.

Enough existentialism: Blue streak is an action comedy vehicle for a funny black guy. You will see funny African-American stuff, action cop stuff, Dunkin' Donuts, explosions, hi-tech crime, shootings, drugs, stealing, bleeding, car chasing and unlikely male bonding.
