If you can't trust your partner, who can you trust?

Shy rookie cop Chris O'Brian (Rory Cochrane), fresh out of the Academy, finds himself assigned to tough, sexy female partner Nora Hugosian (Gina Gershon) who is legendary for her ruthless but effective street style.

As they investigate a series of ritualistic, assassin style murders, the two become embroiled in a passionate affair. But when the rookie receives mysterious evidence that all of the murder victims were criminals that Nora had previously arrested, he must face the possibility that his partner - and love - is now the prime suspect for the grisly murders.
