Movie propaganda

The inexplicable destruction of a small island in the Gulf of Mexico triggers a black tide of lethal mutating plankton which could threaten every living creature on the planet. Within hours, hundreds are dying as John Alden (Parker Stevenson) and his team of maverick marine experts from the Abyss Oceanographic Institute begin a desperate struggle to prevent the spread of an unimaginable ecological disaster. But could the key to the catastrophic plague lie not in modern science but in the primordial mysteries of an undersea cave painting and in the myth of an angry Mayan god who rises from the depths to fulfil an ancient prophecy and vent his wrath on humanity? With time running out, John has no choice but to descent along beyond the abyss to come face-to-face with an incredible answer...
