Movie propaganda

When young architect Amy Benic (Mira Sorvino) flees the high stress of Manhattan for a relaxing weekend at a spa in the country she is instantly soothed under the healing hands of masseur Virgil Adamson (Val Kilmer), whose insight and sensitivity touches her soul. Their intense romance quickly blossoms and Amy is startled to find that the man who could see her most clearly is actually blind.

Their resulting love affair brings him to the new world of the big city and to the prospect of an operation which could reverse the blindness that he has suffered since childhood. Rapidly falling in love with Amy, Virgil elects to take this one last chance at restoring his sight and proceeds to make medical history with the success of his operation.

But the world he has most longed to see assaults his newfound sense of sight with a nightmare of images he cannot comprehend. And, just as Virgil and Amy finally begin to adapt to his new situation, the sight he has just started to enjoy begins to leave him.

A heart-rending tale of love and relationships that proves one vitally important fact - that love is not just in the eyes of the beholder.
