At 14, best friends Robb Reiner and Lips made a pact to rock together forever. Their band, Anvil, hailed as the "demi-gods of Canadian metal", influenced a musical generation that includes Metallica, Slayer, and Anthrax, despite never hitting the big time. Following a calamitous European tour, Lips and Robb, now in their fifties, set off to record their 13th album in one last attempt to fulfil their boyhood dreams.

It can't be true. Seriously... after seeing this documentary (and I watched it all the way through to the end of the credits) I keep saying to myself that it can't possibly be TRUE! Yeah, it did answer for me why I've never heard of them before but, it was way too funny; those things could not have possibly really happened... could they? It's not like in the Blair Witch Project where the credits said the story was fictional; it's possible. And, as far as documentaries go it's up there in appeal. But, it's so funny and problematic that I wonder if it's too good to be true? And the music is effing wicked!
