Movie propaganda

Whoever wins... we lose.

It seems structures which pre-date the pyramid civilisations of Egypt and the Americas have been discovered far beneath the Antarctic ice cap by satellites. So to explore this finding billionaire Charles Weyland (Lance Henriksen) assembles a drill team, specialists in Aztec and Egyptian archaeology, and an environmental scientist. Once inside the pyramids, the group discover disturbing remains including piles of human skeletons with holes in the chest (from Alien "chest-bursters"), and fossilised Alien "face-huggers", seems that the temple was either built or infested by Aliens in Earth's distant past. Considering the depth that must be drilled to reach the Aliens, the Predator may be a late arrival who uses the humans' own passage to the temple.

Theatrical report

Sorry, but I can't help but think of AVP as Alien vs Pensioners. Sigh. When you start taking the piss out of the title you know the film is in trouble.

Alien vs Predator is another attempt to cash in on a successful game by making a movie (see also Final fantasy: The spirits within, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Resident evil: Ground zero). It's full of action and cool effects. Good popcorn.
