Movie propaganda
He knew Paris was for lovers. He didn't think they were all hers.
French photographer Marion (Julie Delpy) and American interior designer Jack (Adam Goldberg) attempt to re-infuse their relationship with romance by taking a holiday in Europe. Their trip to Venice didn't really work out - they both came down with gastroenteritis. They have higher hopes for Paris. But the combination of Marion's overbearing non-English speaking parents, flirtatious ex-boyfriends, and Jack's obsession with photographing every famous Parisian tombstone and conviction that French condoms are too small, only adds fuel to the fire. Will they be able to salvage their relationship? Will they ever have sex again? Or will they merely manage to perfect the art of arguing?

Theatrical report
Well, Julie Delpy really hit the nail on the head when she wrote this one. It's got romance, it's got comedy, it's got Paris, it's got subtitles.
It's even got a terrorist (the nicest one you can imagine).
Meanwhile, if you thought that Meet the parents featured the parents from Hell then you ain't seen nothing yet. Anna and Jeannot are not only certifiably insane, they have raised two insane children. To add insult to injury, they're French. You don't have to be insane to be French but it helps. (Have you ever tried to conjugate irregular French verbs?)
Julie Delpy's neurotic Frenchwoman contrasts nicely with Adam Goldberg's sarcastic American, sufficiently that you believe they're actually a couple and not just two actors cast in the roles. I didn't even mind the voice-overs, and that's saying something.
If you're looking for a warm fuzzy laugh with subtitles then 2 days in Paris is for you.
The comedy, romance, France movie 2 days in Paris is directed by Julie Delpy and stars Julie Delpy, Adam Goldberg, Daniel Brühl.
